After completing his master’s degree in 2004 at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, he continues his doctoral program with a specialization in organic chemistry. He is currently Head of the Department of Advanced Materials and Organic Synthesis at the Institute of Chemical Processes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. In collaboration with commercial entities, he and his team have developed an industrial method for separating cannabinoids from technical cannabis. The whole process took more than two years. The resulting natural molecules are biologically active, but not psychotropic, and can thus be used legally in end-user products. He is currently engaged in the commercialization of developed know-how and application in products such as cosmetics, medical devices and medicines.
